Steward's Report
Tiggy Buzzard - Late scratching 6.26pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to an injury to the right triangle muscle. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
A pre-race sample was taken from Zambora Andy.
Prince Mark and Zambora Andy collided approaching the first turn. Prince Mark clipped the heels of Blazin' Bulla on the first turn checking Blazin' Bulla and Zambora Andy; Prince Mark fell as a result. Tex Kingdom and Lektra Swing collided approaching the home turn checking Lektra Swing. Sonny Micawber turned its head to the outside entering the home straight checking Tex Kingdom, Blazin' Bulla and Lektra Swing. Tex Kingdom and Sonny Micawber collided in the home straight. Annaley Flash raced wide in the home straight.
Sonny Micawber underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right carpal sprain and an injury to the right pencil muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Prince Mark underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a cervico-thoratic injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to trainer Ms A. Patten regarding the greyhound Sonny Micawber racing manners entering the home straight. After observing all available footage, Stewards own observations and Ms Pattens explanation, Stewards took no further action.
