Aston Soho and Dundee Vulcan went up with the lids at box rise and were slow to begin.

Broken Pieces and Gigi's Fire collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds and causing Broken Pieces to brush the running rail. Dundee Vulcan and Yondu collided on the home turn. Dundee Vulcan, Yondu and Broken Pieces collided entering the home straight. Aston Soho checked off Yondu entering the home straight. Romeo Lad checked off Quando Quando in the home straight.
