Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Zipping Oliver.
Kraken Tan was slow to begin. Another Bling and My Victoria collided soon after the start checking Another Bling. Pyrenees Classic and My Victoria collided on the first turn checking My Victoria which collided with Another Bling. Hagrid Grange and Run Maggie Run collided approaching the home turn. Run Maggie Run veered out and marred Zipping Oliver on the home turn severely checking both greyhounds.
Run Maggie Run underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-vetted following race 7. Run Maggie Run was found to have an injury to the right quadraceps. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Burns, the handler of Run Maggie Run regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Run Maggie Run was charged with marring. Mr. Burns pleaded guilty to the charge, Run Maggie Run is suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
