Steward's Report
You Sunshine – Late scratching at 4:16pm 9/1/20 when Mr Eddy Hamilton reported the greyhound to have an Illness-Vomiting (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 27 degrees and the kennel temperature was 19.7 degrees. Prior to race 1 the outside temperature was 31.1 degrees.
Superior Merlot and Next Challenge were slow to begin.
Next Challenge checked off Lady Audacious at the 200m mark. Hillbilly bone faltered at the 200m mark and subsequentially tailed off. Next Challenge and Crown Knox collided at the 150m mark.
Hillbilly Bone underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
