Diamond Bling was quick to begin.
Electric Hippy and Crystal Bling collided approaching the first checking Electric Hippy. Smash Flash and Crystal Bling collided on the first turn checking Crystal Bling. Smash Flash and Miss Heart collided on the first. Miss Heart checked off Zipping Hector approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds: causing Electric Hippy and Miss Heart to collide. Crystal Bling and Smash Flash collided on the home turn.
Zipping Hector underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained a laceration below the left eye. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
