Steward's Report
Prinny Arandt was quick to begin.
Furnace Bale and Deal's Up were slow to begin.
Amp Meter and Prinny Arandt collided soon after the start. Amp Meter and Saint Rock collided on the first turn. Deals's Up checked off Saint Rock approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Saint Rock checked off Deals's Up in the home straight. Prinny Arandt and Furnace Bale collided approaching the winning post.
A post-race sample was taken from Furnace Bale - the winner of the event.
Prinny Arandt underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right deltoid and left chest muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr M Zammit regarding the greyhounds racing manners soon after the start. After considering submissions from Mr Zammit and watching both the side on and head on of the incident Stewards issued a warning on this occassion.
