Steward's Report

Navara and Regal Surprise were quick to begin.  Belron Bingle, Classic Spud and Absolute were slow to begin.  Regal Surprise raced wide on the first turn, checking Navara, causing Flywheel Cowboy and Classic Spud to race wide as a result.  Tangled Sky raced wide on the first turn.  Navara and Tangled Sky raced wide approaching the home turn.  Classic Spud and Flywheel Cowboy collided in the home straight.  Absolute tailed off in the home straight.

Absolute was vetted and re-vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left and right wrist and right hamstring.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Regal Surprise was vetted and re-vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mrs Eastley, the handler of the greyhound Regal Surprise.  Stewards deemed the performance of Regal Surprise unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Regal Surprise must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
