Steward's Report

The start of this event was delayed by approximately two minutes due to Wagga Harness race 3 running behind schedule. 

Zipping Hayne and Saint Burner were quick to begin. Last Outlaw was slow to begin.  

Kingsley Boy, Maramba, Last Outlaw and Magic Jet collided soon after the start, checking Magic Jet and Maramba.  Magic Jet and Saint Burner collided on the first turn, checking Saint Burner.  Kingsley Boy galloped on Zipping Hayne on the first turn severely checking Zipping Hayne. Killana and Maramba collided on the first turn. 

Zipping Hayne underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg monkey muscle injury and a lost nail on the right hind. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
