Steward's Report
Capital Letters – New declared weight of 34.1kgs, last raced at 35.6kgs.
Mr Complaint and Capital Letters were slow to begin.
Madame Pookie crossed to the outside soon after the start. Lady Audacious and My Girl Lilly collided soon after the start and again at the 150m mark.
Mr. Complaint underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have - no apparent injury was reported.
Capital Letters underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right biceps. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke Mr J. Hetherton the trainer of Capital Letters regarding the amount of times the dog has been vetted over recent starts. Mr Hetherton stated that he had trialled Capital Letters following the greyhounds most recent injury and it appeared to recover well from the trial. In hindsight Mr Hetherton acknowledged that the greyhound should have been checked before nominating Capital Letters. Stewards informed Mr Hetherton that greyhound will be monitored in future events.
