Butterfish was slow to begin.

Enya Bale and Ingenuity collided soon after the start. Hounding Me crossed to the inside soon after the start checking Butterfish, Zafonic Trevor and Leaping Lydia. Leaping Lydia and La Coconut collided approaching the first turn. Enya Bale and Ingenuity collided approaching the first turn. Ingenuity clipped the heels of Enya Bale on the first turn severely checking Enya Bale. Hounding Me checked off La Coconut on the first turn. Enya Bale checked off La Coconut in the home straight. Zafonic Trevor raced wide in the home straight.

Enya Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
