Lylah's Way crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Folding Green, Chief Command, Aston Valetta and Atlas True Blue and severely checking Off The Bit. Atlas True Blue, Lylah's Way, Chief Command and Extra Gear collided on the first turn, checking Lylah's Way, Chief Command and Extra Gear. Chief Command galloped on the heels of Extra Gear approaching the home turn. Folding Green and Lylah's Way collided entering the home straight.
Off The Bit underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury and left hindleg triangle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
