Steward's Report
Mepunga Harry - Late scratching at 12:15pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to illness/diarrhoea. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Mandalorian, Dybala and Done It Again collided soon after the start. Mepunga Bonnie and Mandalorian collided soon after the start. Challis Sprite and Mepunga Bonnie collided at the 300m mark. Mepunga Bonnie checked off Mandalorian at the 275m mark. Pure Magic eased at the 250m mark. Pure Magic and Almani Rampage collided at the 225m, the 200m mark and again at the 150m mark. Challis Sprite checked off Mandalorian at the 200m mark.
Pure Magic underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr J. Nolan, regarding the greyhound's racing manners at the 250m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Pure Magic was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Nolan pleaded guilty to the charge; Pure Magic must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
