Steward's Report
Almendra, Pandora's Comet, Wackadooka and Galloping Wytee collided approaching the first turn checking Galloping Wytee. Galloping Wytee galloped on the heels of Wackadooka approaching the home turn checking Wackadooka which lost ground as a result. Zuberi and Mexican Ned collided approaching the home turn. Pandora's Coment checked off Zuberi in the home straight.
A post-race sample was taken from Fawn Illusion - the winner of the event.
Stewards spoke to Ms M. Shaw (representing Mr G. Campbell) regarding the number of starts the greyhound Wackadooka has had between 23/06/2019 and 09/07/19 (17 days - 6 starts). Ms M. Shaw stated that the greyhound has exercised minimally between races and checked weekly by a muscleman. Ms Shaw also stated that the greyhound has been fairly competitive in his runs, however, if the greyhound shows signs of being flat, she is of the belief that Mr Campbell will pull back from nominating the greyhound at future starts. The Stewards accepted Ms Shaw's explanation.
