Wazza Hawk was slow to begin.

Man City Boy and Aston Asahi collided at the 300m mark. Wazza Hawk and Black Beauty collided at the 275m mark. Jebrynah Green and Man City Boy collided several times from the 275m mark to the 150m mark checking both greyhounds. Aston Asahi marred Uncle Drew at the 250m mark and collided with Uncle Drew, All You Got and Ryder Sir. Uncle Drew and All You Got collided at the 100m mark checking All You Got. Aston Asahi and Uncle Drew collided at the 100m mark. Aston Asahi marred Uncle Drew at the 50m mark severely checking both greyhounds.

Aston Asahi underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left quadriceps injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr David Condon, the trainer of Aston Asahi regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 250m mark and again at the 50m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Aston Asahi was charged with marring. Mr Condon pleaded guilty to the charge, Aston Asahi is suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards issued a warning to trainer, Mr Tony Cortese, who failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Black Beauty for racing, pursuant to GAR 46(2).

Superior Breeze was slow to begin.

Reggae Mikado and Rothwell Gal collided soon after the start. Brayden Lennox and I'm Another Whiz collided soon after the start and again at the 250m mark. Superior Breeze and I'm Another Whiz collided at the 150m mark.

Richmond Flyer and Spritely Too were slow to begin.

My Mate Flash and Tilly Lee collided soon after the start and again at the 300m mark. My Mate Flash checked off Sideshow Marjen at the 250m mark. My Mate Flash and Tilly Lee collided several times from the 150m mark to the winning post. Richmond Flyer and Spritely Too collided approaching the winning post.

Eddie Lee and Scarlatto were quick to begin.

Young Jebrynah and Eddie Lee collided at the 150m mark checking Bilbo. One Eyed Bandit and Scarlatto collided at the 150m mark.

Unexplainable and Sultan Bale collided soon after the start. Coyote Ugly and Just Faith collided at the 200m mark. Superior Sam and Bageera collided at the 150m mark.
