Steward's Report
Black Strat was quick to begin. Fernando Deeds was slow to begin.
Black Strat and Alvira collided soon after the start, checking Alvira. Alvira and Ashby Star collided approaching the first turn. Ashby Star faltered on the first turn. Cawbourne Mimma, Ikora Bale and Alvira raced wide on the home turn. Fernando Deeds checked off the heels of Alvira approaching the winning post.
Ashby Star underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left and right foreleg monkey muscle injuries. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards inspected the track in the area of the first turn and deemed it safe to race.
