Typhoon Bolt was quick to begin.
Jiggly Wiggly checked off Whisky Hans approaching the first turn. Habib and Golden Fernanda collided on the first turn, checking Habib and Pirates Patch; severely checking Jiggly Wiggly and Golden Fernanda; and causing Foul Snooker to fall.
Foul Snooker underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained a fracture to the left radius/ulna. The greyhound was humanely euthanised.
