A pre-race sample was taken from Elsa Deeds.
Edaline Bale and Molly Fernando were quick to begin. Saint Rufus and Elsa Deeds were slow to begin.
Edaline Bale and Molly Fernando collided approaching the first turn checking Molly Fernando. Sydney Cove and Maximum Abbie collided on the first turn checking Maximum Abbie and Joffa's Mayhem. Saint Rufus and Elsa Deeds collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Elsa Deeds, Sydney Cove and Molly Fernando raced wide entering the home straight. Elsa Deeds and Molly Fernando collided entering the home straight and several times in the home straight.
Elsa Deeds underwent a post-race veterinary examination following an incident in the catching pen and was found to have a left hindleg hock fracture. Elsa Deeds was humanely euthanased.
