Steward's Report

A pre-race sample was taken from Ashby Slick.

Molly Fernando and Inga Lewis were quick to begin.  I'm A Burner and Golden Charm were slow to begin.

Jackson Abby and Elsa Deeds collided soon after the start.  I'm A Burner, Golden Charm and Elsa Deeds collided approaching the first turn, checking Golden Charm.  Ashby Slick and Molly Fernando collided on the first turn, checking Molly Fernando.  Molly Fernando checked off the heels of Elsa Deeds in the home straight.  Zipping Trent raced wide throughout the event.

Zipping Trent underwent a post-race veterinary examination following an incident in the catching pen and was found to have brusing to the left monkey muscle.  No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Vito Inguanti, the trainer of Inga Lewis regarding its unreasonable aggression towards Zipping Trent in the catching pen following the event.  After taking evidence from club official, Mr D Brooks and licensed person Mr S Collyer and after viewing available footage, Stewards acting in accordance with GAR 71(A) directed that Inga Lewis must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.  Stewards also directed that Inga Lewis must wear and compete in an anti-aggression muzzle in future events that the catcher be stationed in an area approved by the Stewards.
