A pre-race sample was taken from Something Spicey.
Something Spicey was quick to begin.
Flashy De Goey checked off Stoikos on the first turn. Flashy De Goey checked off Inga Ollie on the first turn. Crazy Old Goat galloped on Something Spicey on the first turn checking Something Spicey, Crazy Old Goat and Stoikos. Something Spicey contacted the rail approaching the home turn and lost ground.
Something Spicey underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left stopper pad and a bruising/contusion to the left tibia. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
