Steward's Report
Ragin' Comet was slow to begin.
Push Start, Stoikos, Tiggerlong Back and Sugar Maple collided soon after the start checking Tiggerlong Back. Kurri Kurri, Saint Beth, Push Start and Sugar Maple collided approaching the first turn checking Saint Beth and Push Start. Tiggerlong Back galloped on Saint Beth approaching the first turn severely checking both greyhounds. Kurri Kurri and Push Start collided on the first turn. Stoikos and Sugar Maple collided on the first turn checking Sugar Maple and Kurri Kurri. Kurri Kurri and Tiggerlong Back collided approaching the home turn. Stoikos and Mr. Milford collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight.
Sugar Maple underwent a post-race veterinary examination, at the Trainer's request, and was found to have a toe injury on the right hind leg. A 28 day stand down period was imposed
