Bound To Succeed was quick to begin. Weslyn Bale was slow to begin.
Aston Lopez and Bound To Succeed collided soon after the start. Rodrigo Bale and Potente Rocks collided on the first turn, checking Potente Rocks. Oriental Jade crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking Raylene Bale, Aston Lopez and Denzell Bale. Bound To Succeed raced wide on the home turn. Weslyn Bale and Potente Rocks collided entering the home straight, severely checking Raylene Bale and Potente Rocks; causing Potente Rocks to stumble and Raylene Bale to fall.
Raylene Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left foreleg deltoid muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
