Steward's Report
A sample was taken from Maximum Milky upon arrival at the course.
Barellen Pearl, Battling Baz and Roots Rock Riot collided soon after the start, checking Battling Baz. South East Queen, Barellen Pearl, Roots Rock Riot and Fab Nine collided approaching the first turn, checking South East Queen, Barellen Pearl and Roots Rock Riot. South East Queen galloped on the heels of Fab Nine on the first turn; checking Fab Nine, and severely checking South East Queen. Fab Nine and Barellen Pearl collided on the first turn, checking Fab Nine.
A post-race sample was taken from Vin Joel - second placegetter in the event.
Stewards delayed the All Clear to allow them to view the positioning of the lure through the first turn. Stewards were entirely satisfied that no runners' were materially affected by the positioning of the lure and the All Clear was subsequently posted. The Stewards then spoke to the Lure Driver regarding the postioning of the lure through the first turn (to the lead greyhound) and the requirements as set out in GAR 55.
