Steward's Report
Little Samara checked off Twice Blessed soon after the start. Jessie's Star, Lektra Miss and Twice Blessed collided on the first turn checking Lektra Miss severely checking Twice Blessed which fell severely checking Little Samara. Eye Will Reign and My Logan Leigh collided approaching the home turn checking My Logan Leigh. Eye Will Reign and Parumba Taylah collided approaching the winning post checking Parumba Taylah.
Lektra Miss underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Following the event Twice Blessed displayed signs of Post Exercise Distress Syndrome (PEDS). As a result, the greyhound underwent a veterinary examination and was found to be displaying clinical signs of Ataxia/Hypermetria. A 5 day stand down penalty was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. B. Proctor, the representative of Twice Blessed and advised her that the greyhound would be closely monitored in future events.
A post-race sample was taken from Foxy Princess - the winner of the event.
