Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff, at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Stewards were advised that the track was medium harrowed on Friday 10 April 2020.

A pre-race sample was taken from Go The Doves.

Agent Ivy shifted in soon after the start checking Double Eclipse, Zipping Graff and Giant Shadow.  Zipping Graff, Giant Shadow and Brook's Boy collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Knuckle Buster and Agent Ivy collided on the first turn.  Giant Shadow contacted the running rail approaching the home turn and lost ground.  Giant Shadow and Brook's Boy collided on the home turn checking Giant Shadow.  One Double Beat raced wide on the home turn.  

Giant Shadow underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left hock, no stand down period was imposed.

Blazing Strings was slow to begin.

Blazing Strings checked off Always Primed soon after the start.  Boes Rose galloped on Koh Lipe on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Always Primed galloped on Boes Rose on the first turn checking Always Primed and severely checking Boes Rose, which raced wide for the remainder of the event.  Always There and Always Primed collided approaching the home turn.  

Be Careful Boss - Was a late scratching at 2.17pm, with Stewards permission (non-penalty) under GAR 20(4)(b), in the best interests of greyhound racing.

Kiwi Hustler galloped on Mich Wiggle soon after the start checking Mich Wiggle.  Mich Wiggle, Motor Ace and Fascinate Candy collided on the first turn checking Mich Wiggle, Kiwi Hustler and Motor Ace.  Motor Ace raced wide approaching the home turn.

Greysynd Spectre was slow to begin.

Bella Edition and Bubba Jo collided soon after the start checking Bella Edition.  Rocky Pie, Baby Pechey, Twelfth Of Never, Greysynd Spectre and Ester Bale collided on the first turn checking Rocky Pie, Baby Pechey, Wolfie's Swagger, Twelfth Of Never and Ester Bale.  Baby Pechey and Ester Bale collided approaching the home turn.  Ester Bale galloped on Twelfth Of Never approaching the home turn checking Twelfth Of Never.  Baby Pechey, Wolfie's Swagger and Ester Bale collided on the home turn checking Baby Pechey and Wolfie's Swagger.  Greysynd Spectre checked off Bella Edition entering the home straight.

Black Que and Cute Patootie collided on the first turn.  Galloping Occy and Jackson County collided in the back straight.

Mahjong Buddy and It's A Drama collided soon after the start.  Little Samara, Mahjong Buddy, It's A Drama and Zade's Magic collided on the first turn checking Little Samara and It's A Drama.  Little Samara and Zade's Magic collided approaching the home turn.  Layback Cruiser and Let's Roll collided on the home turn.  Mahjong Buddy checked off Layback Cruiser in the home straight. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Bigwig.

Bigwig and Tamou Bale collided on the first trun.  Major Pursuit, Dex's Affair and Lady Bang Bang collided on the first turn checking Major Pursuit, Dex's Affair, Bigwig and severely checking Tamou Bale and Lady Bang Bang which raced wide as a result.  

Pursuant to GAR 104(6) Catching Pen Attendant Mr K. Palmer did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event.

Parzival and Dewana Success collided soon after the start.  Parzival, Dewana Success and Run Like Jess collided on the first turn checking Dewana Success, Run Like Jess, Dewna Milkshake, Mac's Mayhem and He Shall Power.  Mac's Mayhem and Dewna Milkshake collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Dewana Success and He Shall Power collided in the home straight checking Dewana Success.  Parzival and He Shall Power collided approaching the winning post.

Especial One was slow to begin.

Kinloch Journey and Parumba Rebel collided on the first turn checking Shakalaka, Especial One and severely checking Kinloch Journey, Parumba Rebel and Shrek's Rusty.  Kinloch Journey and Parumba Rebel collided approaching the home turn.

Representative Ms E. Lesjak requested that Shrek's Rusty undergo a post-race veterinary examination and was found to a left front dislocated toe.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Johnny Be Good was slow to begin.

Mighty Tracey crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Gracelands, Ocean Star and Butter Chicken.  Take A Daisy, Mia's Hand and Knuckles collided approaching the first turn checking Take A Daisy.  Gracelands contacted the running rail on the first turn and lost ground checking Ocean Star and causing Butter Chicken to fall.  Take A Daisy checked off Knuckles in the home straight.  

Gracelands underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising and an abrasion the to left elbow.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Butter Chicken underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hamstring injury and bruising to the left stopper.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Lottie Biscotti.

Mepunga Billy and Salut Bianca collided soon after the start checking Salut Bianca.  Just Faith brushed the running rail approaching the first turn and lost ground.  Busta Mikado and Salut Bianca collided on the first turn.  Just Faith and Lottie Biscotti collided approaching the home turn.  Busta Mikado crossed out on the home turn checking Salut Bianca.

Aquileia checked off Nimble Nala soon after the start.  Unit Bale, Eastern Faith, Little Kiddy and Nimble Nala collided approaching the first turn checking Little Kiddy and severely checking Eastern Faith.  Unit Bale and Nimble Nala collided on the first turn checking Nimble Nala.  Heidi Intention checked off Unit Bale approaching the home turn.
