Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff, at all times.

Smooth Operator was quick to begin.

Orion Bale checked off Wishly Bale soon after the start. Midget Rocks galloped on Betty Spaghetti approaching the first turn checking Midget Rocks and severely checking Betty Spaghetti. Midget Rocks galloped on Always Innocent on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Always Innocent and Wishly Bale collided approaching the home turn. Betty Spaghetti raced wide on the home turn. 

A post-race sample was taken from Orion Bale - unplaced in the event.

Orion Bale- underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Grenfell, the handler of Orion Bale regarding, firstly the performance of the greyhound in tonight's event and secondly the betting activity surrounding Orion Bale, after there was significant movement on fixed odds betting ($23- $8). Mr. Grenfell stated that the greyhound was having it's second start tonight and is relatively inexperienced. Mr. Grenfell added that the kennel did not support Orion Bale in tonight's event. Stewards noted his comments. 

Hillbilly Road, Fast Food Junkie and Love and Thunder collided soon after the start. Hillbilly Road and Marli Ann collided on the first turn checking Hillbilly Road, Fast Food Junkie, Love and Thunder and Marli Ann. Love and Thunder and Marli Ann collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight.

Zipping Reuben, Maximum Milky and Incognito were quick to begin. I'm A Burner was slow to begin.

Joffa's Mayhem checked off Secrets Untold approaching the first turn. Suited Kings, Incognito and Secrets Untold collided on the first turn. Suited Kings and Incognito collided on the home turn. Secrets Untold checked off Zipping Reuben on the home turn and collided with Maximum Milky.

Nitro Yap checked off Yanderra Rip soon after the start. Don't Change checked off Broken Drum approaching the first turn, also checking Yanderra Rip. Yanderra Rip, Nitro Yap and Don't Change collided on the first turn checking Yanderra Rip. Corazon De Leon and Rampant Teresa collided on the first turn. Rampant Teresa checked off Corazon De Leon in the home straight.

Close Your Eyes shifted in soon after the start checking Mr. Lonely and Jack's Fantasy. Belfast Dot checked off Tiggerlong Al approaching the first turn. Tiggerlong Ginga checked off Gala Bale approaching the first turn. Belfast Dot collided with Crackerjack Tys on the first turn checking Belfast Dot.

Taken, Miss Klara and Cosmic Sparkle collided approaching the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Don's Scolari, Sand Runner and Miss Klara collided on the first turn checking Don's Scolari. Don's Scolari galloped on Miss Klara approaching the home turn checking Don's Scolari. Sand Runner and Cosmic Sparkle collided approaching the home turn.

Aston Express and Lektra Perry collided on the first turn checking Lektra Perry. Raging Rampant checked off Lektra Perry on the first turn.

A post-race sample was taken from Zambora Smokey - the winner of the event.

Johnny Wishbone and Winlock Dyno were quick. Winlock Newbolt was slow to begin.

Mr. P. Keane was issued with a warning after the greyhound Me Silly was negligently (GAR 86(o) placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process.  

Club Official Mr. D. Brookes was reminded of  his responsibilities after the greyhound Me Silly was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process. This matter was referred to the Club Manager for further consideration and remediation. 

Nebraska Nell was quick to begin.

From The Brink, Magic Bulldozer and Burst The Seam collided approaching the first turn checking Magic Bulldozer and Burst The Seam. Outlaw Donny checked off Big Don't Argue on the first turn checking Burst The Seam. Big Don't Argue, Cloona Reward, From The Brink and Magic Bulldozer collided approaching the home turn checking From The Brink and Outlaw Donny and severely checking Big Don't Argue, Cloona Reward and Magic Bulldozer, Cloona Reward pulled up as a result.

Cloona Reward underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right radius fracture. Cloona Reward was humanely euthanased.

Jacobite Jye checked off Khlo Money approaching the first turn. Lulumon and Lil Snooze collided on the first turn.

Jackie Dee checked off Here Comes Tom approaching the first turn. Legasov Bale checked off Here Comes Tom on the first turn.
