Steward's Report
Pyrenees Daisy and Card Declined were slow to begin.
Squawking Budgie, Denzell Bale and Will Do collided approaching the first turn, checking Denzell Bale and Will Do. Card Declined raced wide on the first turn and momentarily eased. Squawking Budgie and Phoenix Drive collided approaching the home turn. Squawking Budgie, Denzell Bale and Aston Astro collided approaching the home turn. Card Declined eased in the home straight and tailed off.
Card Declined underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was revetted following race 5 - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr Michael Davison, the trainer of Card Declined regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn and again in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Card Declined was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Davison pleaded not guilty to the charge, Card Declined vwas found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Horsham and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Mr Brandyn Grenfell was issued with a warning after he was late to arrive at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Denzell Bale for racing (GAR 46).
