Jackson Abby and My Mate Didgie collided soon after the start. Ikaruga Bale and Grace Amazing collided approaching the first turn. Greatest Showman and My Mate Didgie collided approaching the first turn. Jackson Abby, Grace Amazing and Mepunga Sparkle collided on the first turn checking My Mate Didgie and severely checking Greatest Showman and G'Day Muscles and causing Grace Amazing to fall. Both Greatest Showman and G'day Muscles were forced wide as a result.
Greatest Showman underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left and right pencil muscles. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
