Call Me Ian, Debut Knight and Dusty Hawke collided entering the home straight. Call Me Ian and Debut Knight collided in the home straight.

Tycoon Miss underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist injury and a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Trickster Cabang was quick to begin.

Aston Express and Kerrigan Coaster collided soon after the start. He's An Ace, Blackpool Armour, Misha Bale, Quicker Than Joe and Blackpool Astro collided on the first turn checking Blackpool Astro, He's An Ace and Blackpool Astro, causing Blackpool Astro and Dyna Carl to collide. Quicker Than Joe and Winlock Kin collided in the home straight.

Almapa Sunshine and Barry Bomber collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds, causing Almapa Sunshine and Zipping Navy to collide, Zipping Navy stumbled badly as a result and lost ground. Lucille Dior checked off Almapa Berisha approaching the home turn.

Zipping Navy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 8 and was found to have a left sesamoid injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
