Steward's Report
Seal The Deal and Black Opium collided approaching the first turn. Seal The Deal galloped on the heels of Black Opium on the first turn, checking Got Some Wheels and Seal The Deal, severely checking Black Opium, and causing Nitro Value and Deliver to fall.
Stewards delayed the announcement of All Clear in order to review the video footage to ensure that Deliver, which jumped the running rail and crossed the infield, had not interfered with the remainder of the event. After viewing the footage Stewards were satisfied that the actions of Deliver had not impacted the rest of the field and All Clear was given on the semaphored numbers.
Nitro Value underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left foreleg and a left sartorius muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
