Steward's Report
Lektra Bear - Late scratching at 14:38 on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to having an elevated temperature. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Squawking Budgie - Late scratching at 14:29 due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Ms. T. Womann was fined $100.
Fletcher Jay and Tinker Dorf collided soon after the start. Tinker Dorf checked off Kraken Maxi on the home turn. Queen Harriet turned it's head outwards and visibly eased entering the home straight. Queen Harriet checked off Hodge's Lane approaching the winning post.
Queen Harriet underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to handler Mrs. S Buckley, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Queen Harriet was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs. Buckley pleaded guilty to the charge, Queen Harriet must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
