Steward's Report
Slingshot Lilham - Late scratching at 4.22pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a right quadriceps muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
A pre-race sample was taken from Sixteen Pegs.
Let's Go Sally was quick to begin.
Sixteen Pegs, Lektra Bear and Foxzami Raptor collided soon after the start checking Lektra Bear. Fab's Special and Little Snitzel collided approaching the first turn. Foxzami Raptor and Fab's Special collided on the first turn. Super Switch checked off Little Snitzel approaching the home turn and raced wide. Sixteen Pegs, Little Snitzel and Lektra Bear collided in the home straight checking Little Snitzel and Lektra Bear and severley checking Super Switch which tailed off and causing Sixteen Pegs to fall.
Super Switch underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injuries to the left and right monkey muscles, left and right quadriceps and right pencil.muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Sixteen Pegs underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left monkey muscle and an injury to the right triangle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Fab's Special underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right quadricep injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
