Simmo Gogolac - Late scratching at 2:14 pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37), due to illness. A five day stand down period was imposed.
Psycho Star and Stilton Rush were slow to begin.
Psycho Star and Stilton Rush collided approaching the first turn, checking Stilton Rush. Solar Tiny and Dewana No Secret collided approaching the first turn, checking Dewana No Secret. Solar Tiny and Vampire Vixen collided on the first turn, checking Vampire Vixen, Psycho Star, Stilton Rush and Dewana No Secret. Solar Tiny raced wide and collided with Charlie Checkeron the home turn. Solar Tiny and Vampire Vixen collided entering the home straight. Solar Tiny and Charlie Checker collided in the home straight. Solar Tiny failed to pursue the lure with due commitment in the home straight.
Solar Tiny underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr V Millington, the trainer of Solar Tiny, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Solar Tiny was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Millington pleaded guilty to the charge, Solar Tiny is suspended for 28 days at Horsham and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
