A pre-race sample was taken from Belt Up Ronny.
Giggling Gerty was slow to begin.
Belt Up Ronny and Nitro Nicole collided soon after the start. Grace Intention, Chill Out Webby, Nitro Nicole, Railway Burra and Oshkosh Myles collided approaching the first turn checking Chill Out Webby, Belt Up Ronny, Nitro Nicole and Railway Burra. Chill Out Webby and Railway Burra collided on the first turn checking Chill Out Webby. Giggling Gerty checked off Belt Up Ronny on the second turn. Railway Burra and Giggling Gerty collided approaching the home turn.
Chill Out Webby underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury and an abrasion around the left eye. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
