Prior to the running of this event, the greyhound Kraken Bo made contact with part of the lure. Stewards spoke to the handler of the greyhound Mrs J Hall who stated she momentarily lost control of the greyhound before it made contact. Stewards reminded Mrs Hall of her obligations when handling greyhounds and ensuring she always has full control. A warning was also placed against the greyhound regarding its behaviour prior to the race.

Make A Sound and Ink Spot were quick to begin. Select Pattern was slow to begin. Ink Spot and Joffa's Galaxy collided soon after the start checking Joffa's Galaxy. Make A Sound crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Ink Spot. Fletcher Jay, Mercy Mercy and Ink Spot collided approaching the first turn checking Mercy Mercy, Ink Spot and Joffa's Galaxy. Dundee Glitter and Make A Sound collided on the first turn. Mercy Mercy checked off Breakaway on the first turn checking Ink Spot. Make A Sound checked off Dundee Glitter approaching the home turn checking Fletcher Jay and Breakaway. Joffa's Galaxy checked off Breakaway entering the home straight. Midnight Bling underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a mild abrasion on the nose. No stand down period was imposed.

Adala Prince -  Late scratching at 10:07am when Mr. P. Martinovic reported the greyhound to have an injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Pure Cool Titan and Lorenza collided on the first turn. Hooked On You and Eaglehawk Miss collided on the first turn. Aston Reine and Lorenza collided approaching the winning post.
