Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Militant Spirit.
Tammin, Go Commando, Striking Weetbix, Mepunga Bella and Riley's Paige collided on the first turn checking Go Commando, Striking Weetbix, Mepunga Bella and Dyna Xarvel. Striking Weetbix checked off Mepunga Bella approaching the home turn. Dyna Xarvel marred Go Commando on the home turn and again approaching the winning post.
Dyna Xarvel was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right hind leg, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr G. Dailly, Trainer of Dyna Xarvel. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Dyna Xarvel was charged with marring. Mr Dailly pleaded guilty to the charge, Dyna Xarvel is suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
