An out of competition sample was taken from Tiki Monteya on 1st July 2019 pursuant to GAR 79A.
A pre-race sample was taken from Lucy Jetstream.
Lucy Jetstream was slow to begin. Oriental Ollie and Pippa Squeak collided approaching the first turn. Hardaway George and Scott Something collided approaching the first turn checking Scott Something. Tiki Monteya, Oriental Ollie and Pippa Squeak collided approaching the first turn checking Oriental Ollie and Pippa Squeak. Nice Surprise and Oriental Ollie collided on the first turn. Pippa Squeak and Scott Something collided approaching the home turn. Lucy Jetstream lost ground in the home straight.
Lucy Jetstream underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Mr. David Geall failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Tiki Monteya for racing. Mr. Geall was fined $100 pursuant to GAR 46 (2)
A post-race sample was taken from Nangar Ripper, winner of the event.
