True was slow to begin.

Big Dance and Larrikan Bozzie collided soon after the start checking Larrikan Bozzie which tailed off as a result. True checked off Sun Wukong approaching the the first turn. Brittany's Angel, Millie's Angel, Miss Vonshae, Big Dance and Nice Surprise collided on the first turn severely checking Millie's Angel, Big Dance and Nice Surprise. Millie's Angel raced wide on the home turn. Nice Surprise checked off Brittany's Angel in the home straight.

A post-race sample was taken from Miss Vonshae - the winner of the event.

Larrikan Bozzie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
