Stewards spoke to Ms. E. Frost, the handler of Honestly Bob, regarding her being late to the kennels to retrieve the greyhound to race. Stewards noted her explanation and took no further action. 

Brave Hearted and Whipper's Chance went up with the lids and lost ground. Brave Hearted and Whipper's Chance collided soon after the start. Lonesomeness checked off Cool Rage soon after the start. Vroom Vroom faltered on the first turn and lost ground from that point. Still Single checked off Firelight Twist approaching the home turn.

Vroom Vroom underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a possible radius/ulna microfracture. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Una Star was slow to begin.

Mr. Scentric, Inga Ross, Yandi, Tribal Striker and Crackerjack Cash collided soon after the start checking Mr. Scentric, Inga Ross, Yandi and Tribal Striker. Yandi underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left monkey muscle injury, left hock, and left quadriceps muscle. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
