Steward's Report

A pre-race sample was taken from Titanium Springs.

Pippa Squeak and Titanium Springs collided soon after the start checking Pippa Squeak. Ashby Quick crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Big Cam and Sofie Gogolac. Pippa Squeak, Midnight Gieger and Sofie Gogolac collided approaching the home turn checking Sofie Gogolac, Midnight Gieger, Heart Beats True and Don's Trouble. Titanium Springs and Ashby Quick collided approaching the home turn checking Ashby Quick. Titanium Springs visibly eased approaching the home turn. Pippa Squeak and Big Cam collided entering the home straight checking Big Cam. Sofie Gogolac checked off Ashby Quick in the home straight. Titanium Springs and Ashby Quick collided approaching the winning post.

Titamium Springs underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr K Howat the trainer of Titanium Springs regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Titanium Springs was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Howat pleaded not guilty to the charge,Titanium Springs was found guilty and suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.
