Missy Marlus and I'm A Lord were slow to begin.
Mystic Cruise and I'm A Lord collided approaching the first turn. Londyn's Choice and Aston Midori collided on the first turn. Nadia Business clipped the heels of Aston Midori on the first turn, checking Aston Midori and severely checking Nadia Business, which fell as a result. Missy Marlus and Mystic Cruise collided on the home turn.
Nadia Business underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left elbow, bruising to the right foreleg, and a left hip muscle injury. A 5 day standdown period was imposed.
