Mini Fernando and Violets Are Red were quick to begin. Chardy and Krypto Jam were slow to begin.
Mini Dozer and Krypto Jam collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Beluga Diamond, Jesse's Typhoon and No Passengers collided on the first turn checking Beluga Diamond and No Passengers; causing Jesse's Typhoon to fall.
Jesse's Typhoon underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the left forelimb and bruising over the thighs. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
