Limburg Sprite was quick to begin. Figment, Lady Oracle and Hope To Wyn were slow to begin.

Miss Toy and Rotarua collided soon after the start. Miss Toy and Lady Oracle collided approaching the first turn. Limburg Sprite galloped on Lady Oracle on the first turn. Lady Oracle contacted the runnning rail on the first turn. Miss Toy raced wide in the home straight.

Lady Oracle underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected.

Raging Roy, Fidget Spinner and Black Tess collided on the first turn checking Fidget Spinner and Ugo Girl. Fidget Spinner contacted the running rail approaching the home turn and lost ground. Raging Roy and Black Tess collided approaching the home turn. Raging Roy contacted the running rail approaching the home and then collided with Monoak, severely checking Raging Roy and inconveniencing Fidget Spinner. Ugo Girl and Cougar Icon raced wide on the home turn. Ugo Girl raced wide in the home straight. 

Raging Roy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right stifle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Fidget Spinner underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected.

Princess America and Galo's Best collided approaching the first turn. Take That Banksy checked off Claretown Boris on the first turn checking Take That Banksy. Jiggy's Luck raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight. Claretown Boris and Princess America collided entering the home straight.

The start of this event was delayed by approximately 1 minute due to a harness race at Menangle running behind schedule.

Abyssal – Not raced for in excess of 3 months due to a change in kennels, pre-race sample was taken.

Marvelette, Blackpool Blast and Crackerjack Tim collided approaching the first turn checking Blackpool Blast. Pharoah's Dream raced wide on the home turn.

She Will Bloom - Presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling as the greyhound was found to be injured at The Meadows on 13.04.19. She Will Bloom was examined by the on-course veterinarian and found to be free from injury. She Will Bloom was cleared to trial. 

Chachi Arcola – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory trial as the greyhound was stood down from racing at Geelong for failing to pursue by reason of injury (10.8.18). Weighing 29.8kgs and beginning from box 1, Chachi Arcola completed the 400m trial distance in a time of 23.41. Chachi Arcola placed fourth in a field of 4 and was beaten by 15.25 lengths.  Chachi Arcola has been cleared to race at all tracks. 

Zenisha Bale – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory trial as the greyhound was stood down from racing at Ballarat for failing to pursue. Weighing 26.7kgs and beginning from box 8, Zenisha completed the 400m distance in a time of 23.08. Zenisha Bale placed second in a field of 4 beaten by 10.5 lengths. Zenisha Bale has been cleared to race at all tracks except Ballarat. Zenisha Bale has also been cleared to race in blinkers  

Ellie Wires – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory trial as the greyhound has not competed in an event for in excess of six months due to a metatarsal fracture.  Weighing 29.3kgs and beginning from box 5, Ellie Wires completed the 400m trial distance in a time of 23.17. Ellie Wires placed first in a field of 4 winning by 3.25 lengths. Ellie Wires has been cleared to race.

Bastian Bale – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory trial as the greyhound was stood down from racing at Warrnambool for failing to pursue by reason of injury. Weighing 30.8kgs and beginning from box 1, Bastian Bale completed the 400m trial distance in a time of 23.46. Bastian Bale placed third in a field 4 beaten by 4.25 lengths. Bastian Bale has been cleared to race at all tracks except Warrnambool.

Xala Bale - Presented for a revet at the conclusion of the race meeting and was found to be free from injury. Performed a Stewards Satisfactory trial as the greyhound was stood down from racing at the Warrnambool for failing to pursue by reason of injury. Weighing 27.1kgs and beginning from box 7, Xala Bale completed the 400m trial distance in a time of 23.39. Xala Bale placed second in a field of 4 beaten by 3.25 lengths. Xala Bale has been cleared to race at all tracks except Warrnambool.
