Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from Bumper Farrell.
Clovalley Mauri was quick to begin. Fair Ride and Miss Bea collided soon after the start checking Miss Bea. Bumper Farrell and Tat Loxy collided approaching the first turn checking Tat Loxy. Fair Ride clipped the heels of Tat Loxy approaching the home turn checking Tat Loxy. Bumper Farrell and Fair Ride collided in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr G Connell the handler of Clovalley Mauri regarding the greyhounds improved performance in todays event. Mr Connell stated that he has not changed the training of the greyhound and had been free galloping the greyhound every day prior to racing. Mr Connell further added that the greyhound had a clear run in todays event. Stewards noted Mr Connells explanation and directed a sample be taken from the greyhound Clovalley Mauri - the winner of the event.
