A trial of the GRV endorsed real time tracking system was conducted throughout todays program.The racing rugs in selected 515m events were fitted with a location tracking beacon as part of the trial.

Shanalinga and Molly Coaster collided soon after the start. Aston Jewel checked off Weblec Nic soon after the start. Shanlyn Shiraz checked off Never Duplicated on the first turn. Shanalinga checked off Miss Chelsea approaching the second turn,  and collided with Aston Jewel, causing both greyhounds to race wide as a result. Shanalinga, Shanlyn Shiraz and Aston Jewel collided entering the back straight, checking Shanalinga and Shanlyn Shiraz.

Weblec Nic was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained mild abrasions to both hind feet. No stand down period was imposed.

Palisades Park was quick to begin. Faraday was slow to begin.

Mighty Josiah and Dewana Chat collided soon after the start. Valar Morghulis and Fabelite collided soon after the start. Fabelite raced wide throughout the event.

Mr Alexander Whitehead, the trainer of Fabelite, stated he was disappointed with the run and in his opinion, the greyhound had been trialling welll and he expected a forward showing today.

Fabelite was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left deltoid and right sartorius (pencil) muscles. A ten-day stand down period was imposed.

Richo was slow to begin.

Hot Finish, Diamond Bling, Kintamani and Shakey Coconut collided soon after the start, checking Hot Finish and Kintamani. Kraken Katie and Diamond Bling collided approaching the first turn, checking Kraken Katie, Hot Finish and Diamond Bling. Kintamani, Hot Finish and Kraken Katie collided approaching the second turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr Brett Mackie, the trainer of Aeroplane Jet, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Aeroplane Jet last raced on 24 April 2018. Mr Mackie stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an extended spell.

Maybe Hannibal was quick to begin. Vincero, Jacobite Joseph and Cut Footluce were slow to begin.

Jacobite Joseph and Off The Bit collided soon after the start. Vincero galloped on the heels of Aeroplane Jet on the first turn, checking Vincero and Cut Footluce. Jacobite Joseph failed to pursue the lure with due commitment on the first turn and collided with Aeroplane Jet, resulting in Aeroplane Jet being checked.

Maybe Hannibal and Special Drop collided on the third turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr Paul Hammerstein, the trainer of the greyhound Jacobite Joseph, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn.. Jacobite Joseph was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to all feet and spike wounds to both hind feet; a seven-day veterinary stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Jacobite Joseph with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Hammerstein pleaded guilty to the charge, Jacobite Joseph was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Billy Moran was quick to begin.

Aeroplane Mo and Small Rose collided soon after the start. Zipping Oliver and Secret Message collided approaching the first turn, checking Zipping Oliver. Small Rose checked off Zipping Oliver approaching the first turn. Zipping Oliver checked off Secret Message on the first turn and collided with Small Rose resulting in both Zipping Oliver and Small Rose being severely checked.

Small Rose was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right hind foot. A seven-day stand down period was imposed.

Zipping Oliver was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury.

Revved Up Dee, Miles Per Gallon and Sisco Dun collided soon after the start. Sweet Sparkle, Liebig Street and Come On Colour collided soon after the start. Miles Per Gallon, Sisco Dun and Sweet Sparkle collided on the first turn, checking Sisco Dun. Sisco Dun and Come On Colour collided entering the back straight, checking Sisco Dun. My Girl Belena and Ishmy Girl collided on the fourth turn, checking Ishmy Girl. Miles Per Gallon, Sisco Dun and Sweet Sparkle collided on the fourth turn. My Girl Belena checked off Come On Colour approaching the winning post. Ishmy Girl checked off Revved Up Dee approaching the winning post.

Noaki Colour was quick to begin. Zipping Megan, Fred Dagg, Silvio Dante and Why Not Peter were slow to begin.

Trey Smidge (late Trey Bit) and Fred Dagg collided soon after the start. Zipping Megan, Silvio Dante and Why Not Peter collided on the second turn, checking all three greyhounds. Noaki Colour and Lady Emerald collided entering the back straight, checking Noaki Colour. Fred Dagg checked off Lady Emerald in the back straight, checking Noaki Colour. Fred Dagg and Trey Smidge collided on the third turn. Noaki Colour and Trey Smidge collided on the home turn.

MEETING COMMENTS

Re-Vetted Greyhound - Aeroplane Bella was presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling. The greyhound was found to have no apparent injury and was cleared to race.
