An Out of Competition Sample was taken from My Name's David, Zoom Out, Hone In, Mayor Digby, Peter Galo, Despacito, Elevated, Up Hill Jill (Reserve) and Regazzoni (Reserve) engaged in this event on 14th August 2018 pursuant to GAR 79A.
An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Extra Gear engaged in this event on 15th August 2018 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Elevated was quick to begin.
Hone In and Despacito collided soon after the start. Elevated, Peter Galo, Mayor Digby and Zoom Out collided approaching the first turn checking Elevated. Elevated and Despacito collided on the first turn checking Despacito and severely checking Hone In and My Name's David.
Hone In was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
My Name's David was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an left hind toe injury. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed.
Zoom Out was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left hind toe. A stand down period of 3 days was imposed.
