Quick Gift was slow to begin.  Proven Neb crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Contagious Miss, Manila Sprite and Kissem.  Contagious Miss galloped on Minutes approaching the first turn severely checking Minutes.  Quick Gift raced wide on the first turn.  Minutes and Manila Sprite collided on the first turn.  Contagious Miss and Stealthy Flight collided approaching the home turn.  Kissem galloped on Contagious Miss on the home turn checking both greyhounds, Kissem stumbled as a result.

Magic Flora was slow to begin.  Irish Swagger and Lucky Gypsy collided soon after the start.  Spectator, Eye Owe You, Goldie's Nugget and Lucky Gypsy collided approaching the first turn checking Eye Owe You and Irish Swagger.  Delta's Tiara eased and failed to pursue the lure entering the back straight.  Magic Flora and Eye Owe You collided approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Spectator, Goldie's Nugget and Lucky Gypsy collided approaching the home turn checking Goldie's Nugget.  Irish Swagger was checked off Eye Owe You on the home turn.  Spectator and Delta's Tiara collided entering the home straight.  Magic Flora and Goldie's Nugget collided in the home straight.  Goldie's Nugget galloped on Lucky Gypsy in the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Delta's Tiara was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.  Trainer Mr. R. Lesjak declined his option to have the greyhound re-vetted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Lesjak the trainer of the greyhound Delta's Tiara regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the back straight.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Delta's Tiara with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Lesjak pleaded guilty to the charge, Delta's Tiara was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69 (A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Sharon's Gold was slow to begin.  Owlette, Sharon's Gold and Sopha Gem collided soon after the start checking Owlette.  Triceps Brachii and Owlette collided on the first turn.  Absolute Breeze and Rajasthan collided on the first turn and again approaching the second turn.  Elphaba Oz crossed out on the second turn.  Triceps Brachii and Owlette collided entering the back straight checking Triceps Brachii.  Elphaba Oz, Owlette and Absolute Breeze collided on the third turn checking Owlette and Absolute Breeze.

Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Churchill the trainer of Buzz Nation regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Buzz Nation last raced on 26/03/2018. Mr Churchill stated that despite numerous nominations, the greyhound had been unable to gain a start.

Mac Daddy was quick to begin.  Supercity Star was slow to begin.  Optima Semper, Macalister Mac, Buzz Nation and My Barcia collided on the first turn checking Macalister Mac and Buzz Nation and severely checking Optima Semper which stumbled and lost ground as a result.  Mac Daddy raced wide on the second turn.  Burning Steel and Oni collided entering the home straight.  Macalister Mac and My Barcia collided in the home straight.

Buzz Nation was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 6, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left monkey muscle and a spike wound to a left hind toe,  a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Artistic Alyssa and Dr. Watson were slow to begin.  All About Arby crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Suzy Nitro, Zipping Pedro and Mr. Pendles, Zipping Pedro lost ground as a result.  Zipping Pedro faltered on the second turn and tailed off.  Dr. Toretto and Dr. Watson collided approaching the winning post.  

Artistic Alyssa was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right stifle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Mossy Oak and Zoobie were slow to begin.  Dark Star, Dr. Jezabel and Special Member collided on the first turn.  Dr. Jezabel was checked off Busta Voe on the second turn causing Dr. Jezabel and Special Member to collide, Dr. Jezabel fell checking Zoobie and Mossy Oak, Mossy Oak subsequently lost ground.

Dr. Jezabel was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right radus/ulna, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.

It's Debatable was quick to begin.  Latissimus Dorsi and Brandeen Fi were slow to begin.  Little Freck was checked off It's Debatable entering the back straight checking Shrek's Rusty.  Brandeen Fi and Where's Marcia collided entering the back straight and again several times on the second turn.

Woodleight Guy trialled over 315 metres from box 6, weight 31.8kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 18.81 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of .75 lengths.  Woodleigh Guy was cleared.

Placid Pause trialled over 315 metres from box 8, weight 26.2kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 18.81 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 5.50 lengths.  Placid Pause was cleared

Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Kelly the trainer of Kelly's Style regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Kelly's Style last raced on 12/10/17.   Mr. Kelly stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a change of kennel and spell.  Pursuant to GAR 77A Kelly's Style trialled over 315 metres from box 1, weight 31.4kg, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 18.81 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 8.5 lengths.  Kelly's Style was cleared.
