Titanium Lad shifted in soon after the start checking Inter Nick and Inter Rose. Inter Nick, Pandora's Glory, Crazy Summer and Bont's Charlie collided approaching the first turn, severely checking Crazy Summer and Bont's Charlie. Pandora's Glory checked off Inter Nick on the first turn also checking Iron Throne. Bont's Charlie checked off Jet Black Cruise approaching the home turn. Jet Black Cruise galloped on the heels of Iron Throne approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.

Red Rochelle, Big Holiday and Bush Bro collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Titanium Springs and Magic Panther collided on the first turn checking Titanium Springs. Big Holiday and Bush Bro collided on the home turn. Red Rochelle and Magic Panther collided in the home straight.

Marcus Rose was quick to begin.

Cash No Bounce, Foul Snooker and Mini Yaala collided approaching the first turn checking Mini Yaala and Maina Honey. Mysterious Mara checked off Medina on the first turn. Cash No Bounce and Marcus Rose collided approaching the home turn. Marcus Rose and Foul Snooker collided on the home turn. Marcus Rose and Foul Snooker raced wide in the home straight.

Maramba was slow to begin. 

Bide Your Time and Inter Helen collided soon after the start checking Inter Helen. Buddy Goes Bang and Inter Helen collided approaching the first turn checking Inter Helen. In Orbit, Blackpool Remi and Zipping Navy collided on the first turn checking Blackpool Remi, Bide Your Time and Buddy Goes Bang and severely checking In Orbit. Inter Helen and Blackpool Remi collided approaching the home turn. In Orbit and Blackpool Remi collided on the home turn. Bide Your Time and Inter Helen collided approaching the winning post.

In Orbit underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Zipping Cia.

Crackerjack Nev was slow to begin.

Zipping Cia checked off Sulva Bay soon after the start. Bageera, Zipping Cia and Croucher collided approaching the first turn checking Bageera and Zipping Cia. Speedy Amira and Sergeant Schultz collided in the home straight checking Speedy Amira.

The start of this event was delayed by approximately 1 minute due to the late arrival of the greyhounds at the boxes.

Thomeli Monster was slow to begin.

Stevie Jane, Star Fever, Star Reiko and Super Blu collided on the first turn checking Star Reiko and Super Blu. Thomeli Monster, Stevie Jane and Star Fever collided on the second turn. Stevie Jane and Star Fever collided approaching the third turn checking Stevie Jane.

A post-race sample was taken from Spandau Ballet - the winner of the event.

Haddi Bale, Blazin' About, Wybie Blue and Inter Santina collided on the first turn severely checking Wybie Blue which lost ground and was tailed off as a result. Haddi Bale checked off Blazin' About on the first turn also checking Goldenpaw Lad. Blazin' About and Inter Santina collided approaching the home turn.

Wybie Blue underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right carpal fracture. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

My Word Shirley was slow to begin.

Minnesota Lee, Knock The Clock and Warpedo collided soon after the start checking Minnesota Lee and Knock The Clock. My Word Shirley checked off Lagoon Rhett on the first turn and collided with Bombora Comet and Minnesota Lee, checking Bombora Comet and Minnesota Lee. Lagoon Rhett checked off She's A Mitzi on the first turn.

Pop Do It was slow to begin. 

Tory's Rocket, Mr. Moonlight, Krabi and Coolan Flash collided approaching the first turn checking Tory's Rocket, Mr. Moonlight, Krabi and Splash Of Blue. Mr. Moonlight checked off Tory's Rocket entering the home straight.

Pop Do It underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right hip and left fore toe. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Fernando Drums was slow to begin.

Glayva and Charlie Cockatoo collided soon after the start. Glayva, Charlie Cockatoo and Fernando Drums collided approaching the first turn checking Charlie Cockatoo. John's Last galloped on the heels of Simply Smarter on the first turn checking John's Last and Glayva causing Simply Smarter and Fernando Drums to fall. White Cynder checked off Charlie Cockatoo in the home straight.

Fernando Drums underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a split webbing on the left hind. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Simply Smarter underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have lacerations to the left hindleg and shin. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Sole Elusion, Galloping Rokyto and Zipping Berni were slow to begin.

Unwanted Lady and Sole Elusion collided soon after the start. Galloping Rokyto checked off Zipping Berni appoaching the first turn.

Destini Florida - Late scratching at 22.35pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to lacerations to the mouth and both front feet. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Discovered was quick to begin. Tankalicious, Petey Baqui and Please Stand Up were slow to begin.

Please Stand Up checked off Petey Baqui on the first turn. Tankalicious, Ledgerwood Road and Dazzling Melody collided approaching the home turn checking Ledgerwood Road and Dazzling Melody. Discovered and Please Stand up raced wide on the home turn. Whatta Lady and Ledgerwood Road collided entering the home straight.

Supplementary Report

Prebble Keeping – In accordance with GAR 73, presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling as the greyhound was found to be injured at Ballarat on 27/05/19. Prebble Keeping was examined by the on-track veterinarian and found to be free from injury. Prebble Keeping was cleared to race. 

Stewards finalised an inquiry with Mrs R Kenyon regarding an incident which occurred at Geelong Greyhound Racing Club on the 28th of May 2019. Mrs Kenyon pleaded guilty to a charge under GAR86(q) in that she did not take the greyhound Zenisha Bale, to see the On Track Veterinarian, after a trial after when instructed to do so by stewards, which in the opinion of stewards was detrimental to the control of greyhound racing. Mrs Kenyon was fined $100. When deciding penalty, stewards took into account Mrs Kenyon's guilty plea and remorse in relation to the incident, lack of understanding regarding the procedures that surround greyhounds being vetted which perform in satisfactory trials, and excellent record as a licenced participant.

Stewards would like to remind participants that greyhounds must attend to the On Track Veterinarian when directed to do so by stewards, even when performing trials.
