Gracie Blue – Late scratching at 8:07am when trainer Miss Wendy Hughes reported the greyhound to have an Illness - kennel cough (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. Stewards spoke to Miss Hughes regarding the late scratching and advised the greyhound showed symptoms of kennel cough this morning.

Whynot Luv, Luna Chick and Striving collided soon after the start checking Luna Chick.  Saint Beth and Uzzi Bale collided soon after the start checking Uzzi Bale.  Striving and Showing collided approaching the first turn.  Luna Chick checked off Whynot Luv entering the home straight.

Uzzi Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Rock Like Jagger and Rynell Bale collided soon after the start.  American Movie and Mepunga Maggie collided approaching the first turn checking American Movie.

American Movie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a split webbing on the left hind paw. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Lily Potter, It's A Riot and Mepunga Doyle collided soon after the start.  It's A Riot and Lily Potter collided approaching the first turn checking Lily Potter.  Lands End, Baby Eden, Mepunga Doyle and Gino Gambino collided on the first turn checking all four greyhounds.  Lily Potter, Princess Poppy, Lands End, Gino Gambino and Baby Eden collided entering the back straight checking Baby Eden.  Mepunga Doyle and Gino Gambino collided on the third turn.

Lands End underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.   

Stewards spoke to Mr David Geall, the trainer of Lands End regarding its performance on the first turn. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Lands End must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Post-race samples were taken from It's A Riot (1st) and Mepunga Doyle (2nd).

Mepunga Daniel and It's A Jewel were quick to begin.  Driftin' Away and Bandwagon were slow to begin.

King Gristle and Whynot Dan collided soon after the start checking Whynot Dan.  King Gristle raced wide on the first turn checking Whynot Dan.  Donald's Out and Segovia's Dream collided entering the back straight checking Segovia's Dream.  It's A Jewel and Donald's Out collided approaching the home turn checking It's A Jewel.  

It's A Jewel underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was then re-examined following race 6. It's A Jewel was found to have injuries to the left monkey and deltoid muscles. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Bubbles crossed to the inside soon after the start and collided with Lucky Paws, Miss Firebird and Mahjong World; checking Miss Firebird and Lucky Paws.  Feikuai George, Hip Hippy Shake and Lady Maximus collided on the first turn.  Mahjong World and Bubbles collided on the first turn.  Hip Hippy Shake and Lady Maximus collided on the second turn checking Lady Maximus.  Hip Hippy Shake raced wide in the back straight.

Cee Jay Ace was slow to begin.

May Haze and Winsome Express collided approaching the first turn.  Cee Jay Ace and Lylah's Way collided approaching the first turn.  Max Tractor and Veracity collided on the first turn.  Cee Jay Ace and Lylah's Way collided on the second turn.  Winsome Express checked off Cee Jay Ace on the third turn.  Veracity checked off Max Tractor approaching the home turn.  

Barcia Houdini was slow to begin.

Barcia Houdini, Loroupe and Entwined collided on the first turn, severely checking Entwined and Loroupe; causing both greyhounds to lose ground as a result.  Weetbix Bites and Trubelle collided in the back straight.  Weetbix Bites and Trubelle collided approaching the third turn and again on the third turn.

Lady Bang Bang and Unique Quality were slow to begin.

Unique Quality, Summer Girl, Matty Mateusz and Whitehart Magic collided soon after the start.  Lady Bang Bang and Unique Quality collided approaching the first turn.  Matty Mateusz and Whitehart Magic collided in the back straight.  Matty Mateusz, Whitehart Magic and Lady Bang Bang collided approaching the fourth turn checking Matty Mateusz and Lady Bang Bang.
