My Mascara and Spectral Blade collided soon after the start. Saint Burner crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Crown Benji. Where's Max and Saint Burner collided on the first turn checking Saint Burner. Spectral Blade checked off Hope To Wyn approaching the winning post.

This event was declared a "No Race" due to the lure cable becoming disengaged from the lure carriage resulting in the lure stopping approaching the 250 metre mark.

As this event was a leg of a series a public ballot was conducted to determine the greyhounds to progress to the final in accordance with GAR 57 (2) (b) and (c).

Ayia Sophia and Blackpool Nugget collided approaching the home turn checking Blackpool Nugget. Maximum Trina contacted the rail approaching the home turn. Blackpool Nugget raced wide on the home turn. Ayia Sophia and Miss Lulu collided entering the home straight. Stagger Out Sam and Blackpool Nugget raced wide in the home straight. 

Maximum Trina underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected. 

Ma's Plum Jam and Little Fernando were quick to begin. Kid Lavros and Miss Firebird were slow to begin.

Kid Lavros, Miss Firebird and Full Of Rage collided approaching the first turn checking Miss Firebird. Full Of Rage and Kid Lavros collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Full Of Rage and Miss Firebird collided on the first turn checking Miss Firebird and severely checking Full Of Rage which fell as a result, Kid Lavros was inconvienced by the fallen greyhound.

Full Of Rage underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a fracture to the right radius/ulna, Full Of Rage was humanely euthanised.

Micky Rads and Tearaway Train collided appproaching the home turn. Tearaway Train and Great Success collided on the home turn. Buddy Blinx and Micky Rads collided in the home straight.

Trouper was slow to begin. Crook Me Kindly checked off Blackpool Doc and collided with He's For Me approaching the first turn. Suvla Bay and He's For Me collided on the first turn.
