Steward's Report
Come On Eleanor and Front Page News collided soon after the start severely checking Front Page News. Shermo Bale and Ashtown collided on the first turn checking Ashtown. Front Page News stumbled entering the home straight. Shermo Bale eased in the home straight.
Shermo Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right shoulder joint injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to handler Ms. R. Gibbons, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Shermo Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms. Gibbons pleaded guilty to the charge, Shermo Bale must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
